Medical Dpt.

Jet Rescue Air Ambulance Medical Department is in charge of implementing, supervising, and evaluating the medical care provided by our flight teams in the field. This is done by implementing treatment protocols, reviewing the flight reports after each fight and providing continuing education to the crew members.

The department is managed by our Medical Director in coordination with our Clinical Care Supervisor and Chief Flight Nurse.

Victor Cervantes, MD Medical Director for Mexico

 

Dr. Cervante's role as medical director involves overall supervision of patient care and clinical aspects of the air ambulance service. This is accomplished through pre-flight medical consultation, development of appropriate field medical protocols, quality assurance, and determination of the qualifications and training of all air medical service personnel. Dr. Cervantes has been involved in emergency and trauma medicine since he was an EMT. Dr. Cervantes has been a Certified Paramedic for over fifteen years. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and  Critical Care. Dr Cervantes is not a Desk Medical Director, he routinely transports the sickest patients from the most remote areas of the Continent.

 

Pedro Martinez Clark,MD Medical Director for the USA

 

Dr. Martinez is an actively practicing, board certified cardiologist physician with almost 60,000 hours of emergency department experience. He has been practicing medicine for over twenty-five years. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Medical College of Ohio in 1987. His certifications include Emergency Medicine, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Opiate Treatment Certification. Dr. Martinez is licensed in nine states and in the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Dr. Martinez is also the Medical Director for Okeechobee County Fire Rescue, Okeechobee City Fire Department and the All County Medical Ambulance Service. He provided the emergency physician staffing for Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, FL, for nine years and was Emergency Department Medical Director for 14 years. Dr. Martinez-Clark also practiced emergency medicine and occupational medicine in the city of Milwaukee from 1993 to 2010 at Wheaton Franciscan – St. Joseph Campus and St. Francis Hospital. He is an airline transport pilot and  an FAA Designated Senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME)

Med Jets USA INC is an indirect air carrier authorized under U.S. Department of Transportation Order 83-1-36, 99 C.A.B. 801 (1983), and uses the services of licensed FAA Part 135 direct air carriers or foreign equivalent carriers, to meet the air ambulance or medical evacuation transportation needs of its clients. Med Jets USA  does   not operate any aircraft. As an indirect air carrier, Med Jets USA INC contracts for the provision of air transportation services in its own name and coordinates the provision of medical services. All flights are operated by licensed direct air carriers.
